How we tell our stories

Our articles combine original reflective writing with sourced historical details. Memories differ by place, family, and generation; a familiar experience should not be mistaken for a universal one.

AI assistance and factual checks

AI tools assist with drafting, editing, and building this publication. The launch articles were checked against the sources linked beneath each story. We do not invent interviews, expert quotes, or personal memories and present them as reporting.

Sources and photographs

We prefer museums, archives, and original records for historical facts. Photographs of older objects may have been taken recently. Captions distinguish an archival image from a modern illustration and identify models where that distinction matters.

Images are credited to their creators with links to source pages and applicable licenses. The photo credits page brings those records together.

Dates and editions

Edition dates organize our launch collection across September 6–19, 2026. They are editorial labels. The separate publication date records when each story actually went online.

Our stories are not sponsored and currently contain no affiliate links. We have applied to Google AdSense. Advertising, when enabled following approval, will be labeled and kept distinct from editorial content. Sponsored content and affiliate links will be disclosed where they appear.
